Cultural Agility – Your competitive advantage

Cultural agility sets the course for successful leadership in a highly dynamic and uncertain world. To prepare for international challenges, leaders must constantly evolve to drive growth strategies and innovation, and to successfully engage with customers and employees from around the world. In a recent survey by the Economist Intelligence Unit, 90 per cent of executives from 68 countries said that “cross-cultural management” was the biggest challenge in working across borders. Even managers in domestic organisations will increasingly work with staff from different cultural backgrounds. 90 % of tasks and activities involve communication between people who think and behave differently. On average, 79 % of team performance is lost due to the clash of values and personalities combined with poor leadership. The ability to turn these differences into synergies reduces stress and conflict and can work to YOUR competitive advantage.

Benefits
The training aims to prepare participants for the intercultural implications of global leadership. “You cannot not communicate” (Paul Watzlawick) simply means that EVERYTHING you do is “read” as communication and communication is always cultural. It is therefore crucial to communicate as clearly and accurately as possible and not leave it to chance. Participants can therefore learn how to become more confident and competent in communicating in cross-cultural work environments to enable global leadership and cultural adaptation.
