Sujata Banerjee is an Indian national born in Germany. Her daily life and professional experiences were acquired in both countries, along with deep cultural immersions in Italy. After graduating with an M.A. in Rhetoric, German Literature and Regional Economics from Tübingen University she initially translated her competence into writing speeches and keynotes for participants at global conferences, such as the World Economic Forum. This experience proved useful for her current activities as keynote speaker, panelist and presenter at conferences and corporate events.
Through her own entrepreneurial experience as board member in a family-owned manufacturing enterprise in India, she gathered insights from both a customer and a supplier perspective. 1992-1996 she worked as trainer for intercultural competence, marketing and the qualification of high potentials in Eastern Europe. Between 1994 and 1998 she intensified her customer-centric approach as cultural studies tour operator for Scotland, India and Italy, conducting on site, tailor made quality audits.
Since 1996, she facilitates workshops on working together successfully for Indo-German and mixed teams, coaches on leadership and expatriate preparation and consults on strategic issues of M and A processes, from due diligence to recruitment. In addition, she offers intercultural trainings for India, South Asia, the German speaking regions, France and Italy.
In 2005 she began to work as a trainer and conference speaker with VDMA, the leading mechanical engineering industry association in Europe, with a special focus on small and medium enterprises. Since 2009, she conducts virtual and hybrid workshops for virtual teams on remote collaboration and virtual leadership.
She conducted workshops in China on improving the collaboration between Chinese and Indian teams. Since 2010 she shares her professional experience and methodological competence with students in Germany and India, in the areas of Strategic Leadership and Communication and Asia Pacific Cases and Regions.
Her activities span a wide bandwidth of regions, sectors and organizational cultures.
Her primary working languages are German, English and French. Her current main residence is in Berlin, her secondary residence is in Pune.
