Change won’t wait! Part 1: Social changes have an economic context

Other dogs, and probably humans too, use the time between Christmas and New Year to relax – my human and I, on the other hand, have been doing some team-building training.
I have to admit that it was fun and that we make a really good team together. But I also learned that when I use my dog skills and point it out *whine* *wag* *doggy eyes*, how exhausting it was, I get an extra treat *wag* *pant* *jump*. It's an experience that brings humans and dogs closer together and shows what true teamwork means.
For all the human-dog teams among you, I can highly recommend this experience. And for all the purely human teams out there—yes, they still exist—this is also a great idea for a team event if you like to work up a sweat together and move mountains, or rather, climb them.
What we learn on the trail can be wonderfully transferred to everyday working life *woof*:
- Trust – Carlo trusts Helena to choose the right route; Helena trusts Carlo to remain alert.
- Communication – Clear signals, clear reactions. Without many words – but with body language, posture, and energy.
- Common goals – The goal is the shared journey. A principle that also strengthens teams in the company.
- Mutual motivation – When one person falters, the other is there. Motivation comes from working together, not fighting alone.
The most beautiful moment doesn't just happen at the finish line, but also along the way: when the world is quiet, you can only hear paws and footsteps in unison, and a feeling of unfiltered connection sets in. That's the WOW effect that reminds us why we love challenges. And at the finish line, we can celebrate our joint achievements together and draw motivation for the next projects! *woof*
But I realize I'm digressing a little. What matters to me is that there is the right approach for every team to function even more efficiently, while significantly increasing the fun factor, and that this approach can sometimes lie off the beaten track.

Teams work when everyone is committed to each other. When motivation comes from within—and is reinforced by others. Because every team—whether in a company or on the trail—has the chance to achieve real WOW effects. You just have to start running together.
But now it's time for me and my human to get back on the trails to maintain and further promote our strengthened team spirit. Because only those who keep at it can win, both on the trail and with the team. *woof* and a motivated start to the new year! *bark*
