What begins as a small misunderstanding can quickly grow into palpable tension within a team. Unresolved conflicts are like a bad smell: they spread, intensify, and make collaboration increasingly difficult. Frustration and escalation rarely happen by chance; they emerge when intercultural understanding is lacking and conflicts are left unaddressed rather than managed constructively.<\/p>\n<p>In this training, you will reflect on how you typically handle conflict and evaluate how effective those strategies really are. You will develop the ability to respond with greater awareness, confidence, and intention\u2014even in challenging intercultural situations where tensions may arise.<\/p>\n<h4>Content<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Understanding conflicts: Is every disagreement a conflict?<\/li>\n<li>The conflict cycle: How conflicts begin and escalate<\/li>\n<li>Conflict styles and personal conflict patterns (Strength Deployment Inventory\u00ae \/ SDI)<\/li>\n<li>Five steps \u2013 the path to constructive conflict management<\/li>\n<li>Mind your language! The conflict potential of words<\/li>\n<li>Perceiving subtle emotional undercurrents<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Methods<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Self-reflection and self-assessment (SDI)<\/li>\n<li>Case studies, participants\u2019 own experiences, and feedback<\/li>\n<li>Face-saving theory as a key to intercultural conflict management<\/li>\n<li>Nonviolent Communication according to Marshall Rosenberg<\/li>\n<li>Body language lab<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Benefits<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Sharpen your awareness of how you deal with conflict and expand your repertoire of responses<\/li>\n<li>Reflect on and reassess your existing conflict resolution strategies<\/li>\n<li>Prepare for difficult conversations: learn the key principles for addressing conflicts constructively<\/li>\n<li>Understand the nonverbal messages you convey<\/li>\n<li>Recognize your fear of conflict, your personal thresholds, and your vulnerabilities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Notes on Time:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>As a virtual workshop: 9 am \u2013 12 pm and 2 pm \u2013 5 pm<\/li>\n<li>As in-house measure: 9 a.m. \u2013 5 p.m. incl. lunch and coffee break<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Number of participants: 3 to max. 10<\/h4>\n<p>You can book the training as an in-house measure or as a virtual training.
