Reiko Kobayashi comes from Tokyo and has lived in Munich for 25 years. She has been active as a trainer, consultant and coach for German-Japanese cooperation since 1997. In addition to her work in Japan and Germany training, she is also involved in consulting for change and conflict management, team building and the preparation of meetings and negotiations between German and Japanese business partners. For German expatriates to Japan, she offers a wide range of services from business Japanese to coaching on “Living and Working in Japan”. She speaks Japanese and German at native speaker and excellent levels respectively.
Her main focus is on analyzing, solving and avoiding misunderstandings and conflicts between German and Japanese employees and business people. She has developed numerous case studies based on her experience with over 2500 participants from industries such as the automotive, mechanical engineering, electrical, pharmaceutical and medical sectors.
Since 2000, she has also been a lecturer at Bavarian universities, including the Master’s program for Intercultural Communication and Coordination at Munich University of Applied Sciences. She also leads the preparatory seminar for studying abroad in Japan at the Maximilian Ludwigs University in Munich.
Over a period of more than 10 years, she has worked as a co-trainer with the renowned trainer Prof. A. Moosmüller and is a member of the German-Japanese Business Circle.
