DESCRIPTION:The business world has become globalised. Intercultural competence has therefore become an important core competence and condition for a successful international business engagement. In addition to technical or subject-matter competence\, the ability to work with people from other cultures and in different cultural situations is very significant. \nContents\n\n\nDescription and discussion of cultural differences and similarities between Germany and the Philippines\nComparison of the German and Philippine culture standards\, thinking and behavioural patterns\nGerman management styles\, communication\, motivation\, hierarchy\nDaily life in Germany (living\, shopping\, transport system\, free time activities)\nIntroduction to German history and geography\n\n\nBenefits\n\n\nThey learn to perceive and assess their own cultural orientation\, recognise patterns of thinking and behaviour in the Filipino context and understand their significance in working with Filipino staff and colleagues\nThey acquire comprehensive knowledge of the country and its economy\nYou will build positive personal and business relationships through positive communication\, fair negotiation and avoidance of conflict\nYour contacts and projects run smoothly\nYou can prevent misunderstandings and conflicts\nYou save time\, nerves and money\n\n\nMethods\n\n\nShort theoretical inputs (conceptual clarifications and definitions)\nCase studies\, critical incidents and dialogues\nRole play\nDiscussion\n\n\nNote on times\n\nAs a virtual workshop: 9 am – 12 pm and 2 pm – 5 pm\nAs in-house measure: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. incl. lunch and coffee breaks\n\nNumber of participants: 3 to max. 10\nYou can book the training as an in-house measure or as a virtual training.
