DESCRIPTION:For a long time\, South-East Asia remained in the shadow of the two giants\, China and India. Over the past few months\, the region has increasingly come into the spotlight for Western investors. Many large corporations have already discovered the ‘new Asia’ for themselves. To ensure that the path to success in these countries is just as assured\, it is worth taking a targeted look at the characteristics of these cultures. This is because different values and underlying assumptions result in different solutions and approaches. If you are not prepared for these differences\, they can lead to mistakes and losses. Our intercultural training on East and South-East Asia provides you with an insight into the cultural\, political\, historical and economic contexts of these countries. \nIn the virtual East and South-East Asia training course\, you will learn about the following topics\, which are important in your collaboration with East and South-East Asian partners\, clients and staff: \n\nWhat cultural roots play a role in Asian collaboration?\nHow do I engage in face-saving communication\, and how can I give and receive feedback?\nTrust management – How do I build trust and how do I maintain it effectively?\nHow do decision-making processes work in the Asian region?\nPeople management – What does hierarchy mean to Asians and how do I deal with it?\nTeam project – What does planning and collaboration involve?\nEtiquette – Dos and don’ts\n\nBenefits\nThis training course will provide you with initial insights into how to interact successfully with clients\, partners and colleagues from Asia. Specifically\, the training therefore aims to achieve the following objectives: \n\nEncourage reflection on your own cultural background\nYou will gain the trust of your partners\, thereby facilitating collaboration\nYour meetings\, negotiations and project collaboration will run smoothly\nYou will avoid misunderstandings and conflicts\nYou will save time\, stress and money\n\nMethods\n\nInteractive exercises\nBreakout sessions\nAnalysis of case studies\nParticipant-led reflection\nDiscussion and exchange of experiences\n\nNote on times\n\nAs a virtual workshop: 9 am – 12 noon and 2 pm – 5 pm\nAs an in-house course: 9 am – 5 pm\, including a lunch break and coffee breaks\n\nNumber of participants: 3 to a max. 10\nYou can book this training as an in-house course or as a virtual training session.
