SUMMARY:Intercultural Training in Saudi Arabia: Business Skills for Specialists and Managers
DESCRIPTION:The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the largest and most populous country on the Arabian Peninsula. Oil production is the main source of income and has transformed this desert nation into a modern economic hub. Even more so than in other Arab countries\, Islam\, as the state religion\, defines the Saudis’ sense of identity and has a profound influence on daily (business) life. \nContents\nOur intercultural training programme on Saudi Arabia provides an insight into the country’s cultural\, political\, historical and economic background. Depending on the participants’ needs\, the following topics – which play a role in working with Saudi Arabian partners\, clients and colleagues – can be explored\, for example: \n\nConversation topics\, establishing and maintaining contacts\nAttitudes towards work\nTime management\nHierarchical structures\nPeople management\nPrivate and professional life\nSpecific aspects of communication (the structure of a meeting\, discussions involving criticism\, conflicts\, negotiations\, etc.\, using concrete examples)\n\nDuring the training\, specific recommendations are provided\, and existing strategies for action are discussed and optimised \nBenefits\n\nOptimise collaboration with partners from Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States\nPrevent intercultural problems and conflict situations\nCapitalise on the opportunities and potential synergies offered by cultural diversity\n\nMethods\n\nInteractive exercises\nUse of breakout sessions for group exercises\nAnalysis of case studies\nExchange of experiences and discussion amongst participants\n\nNote on times\n\nAs a virtual workshop: 9 am – 12 noon and 2 pm – 5 pm\nAs an in-house programme: 9 am – 5 pm\, including a lunch break and coffee breaks\n\nNumber of participants: 3 to a maximum of 10\nYou can book this training as an in-house session or as a virtual training course.
