SUMMARY:Intercultural Training: "Cultural agility – The Competitive Advantage” – Global Leadership & Communication
DESCRIPTION:In today’s competitive business environment Leaders must continuously develop to be ready to push forward growth strategies\, drive innovation and work directly with customers and employees from anywhere in the world. In a recent survey from the Economist Intelligence Unit\, 90% of executives from 68 countries define ‘cultural intelligence and agility as their top challenge when working virtually and across borders. Even managers in domestic organisations are likely to work with employees from a variety of cultural backgrounds. 90% of the tasks and activities are communications between people who think and behave differently. On average\, 79% of team performance is lost because of the clash of values and personalities combined with poor leadership. The skill to turn those differences into synergy\, reducing stress and conflicts becomes THE competitive advantage. \nThe following topics will be discussed in detail during the training:\n\nSelf-awareness and awareness about own prejudices and preconceptions\nLearn to adjust your own behaviour to maintain effective communication\nLeverage team performance by reducing clash of personalities combined with poor leadership\nReduce stress and conflicts\nLearn to create synergy instead\, when interacting and managing cross-culturally\nAvoid cultural differences turning into liability\nIdentify the capabilities of your team\, focus on and realise their untapped potential\nAnalysis of specific situations and discussing graphic examples\n\n\nBenefits\nThe training has the aim to prepare the participants for the intercultural impacts of global leadership. “You cannot not communicate” (Paul Watzlawick) simply means that EVERYTHING one does is “read” as communication by the culturally diverse people around them. It is therefore critical that one communicates as clearly and as accurately as possible\, rather than leaving it to chance. The participants can therefore learn about becoming more confident and competent in communication in intercultural work settings to enable global leadership skills and cultural agility. \nMethods\n\n\nLecture and discussion\nAnalysis of case studies\nInclusion of real case studies from the participants\nGroup work\nParticipant-orientated reflections\n\nNote on times\n\nAs a virtual workshop: 9 am – 12 pm and 2 pm – 5 pm\nAs in-house measure: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. incl. lunch and coffee breaks\n\nNumber of participants: 3 to max. 10\nYou can book the training as an in-house measure or as a virtual training. SUMMARY:Intercultural Training Italy: Success through competence beyond clichés and stereotyping
DESCRIPTION:Hardly any other country is associated with so many stereotypes as Italy\, one of Germany’s most important trading partners. The geographical proximity of the popular destination for vacation and holidays leads to the perception that we know each other and have found successful forms of communication. However\, this is often not the case. In the interaction between Germans and Italians\, cultural differences and numerous misconceptions repeatedly lead to misunderstandings and conflicts in various areas of business communication. Economic cooperation requires both sides to have in-depth knowledge of their own and the foreign culture so that synergy potentials can be exploited. The training is intended to make a valuable contribution to this. \nBenefits\n\n\nConfidence in business contacts through background knowledge of cultural imprints\nRecognizing synergy potentials in intercultural cooperation (with intercultural teams)\nDeveloping skills to prevent and/or deal with misunderstandings and conflicts\n\n\nMethods\n\n\nPractice-oriented information\nExercises (individual and in groups)\nAnalysis of (own) case studies\nExchange of experiences\n\n\nNote on times\n\nAs a virtual workshop: 9 am – 12 pm and 2 pm – 5 pm\nAs in-house measure: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. incl. lunch and coffee breaks\n\nNumber of participants: 3 to max. 10\nYou can book the training as an in-house measure or as a virtual training. SUMMARY:Intercultural Know-How Romania
DESCRIPTION:Romania is one of the younger EU accession countries (2007) and can look back on a good and steadily developing economy. Underestimated by many\, Romania offers excellent skilled workers based on extremely solid training. Romanians do not see themselves as Eastern Europeans because they belong to the Roman culture and they are very proud of it. It is therefore advisable to know more about the country and its diverse landscape and cultural composition. Not only is Bucharest a booming metropolis\, the city of Cluj in the west of the country is also an attractive place to invest. The business culture in Romania surprises with a mixture of factual orientation and cordiality. The boundaries between business and personal life are blurred\, and it is important for Romanians to build good and sustainable professional and business relationships. Time management can therefore be a challenge. This intercultural business training not only gives an overview of historical\, economic\, political and socio-cultural developments in Romania\, but also prepares you optimally for your market entry or for your longer stay in Romania. \nContents\n\n\nCommunication behaviors\nRelationship building\nHierarchies and courtesy in business\nTime management\nDifferences between generations\n\n\nBenefits\n\nThe training is intended to optimize your cooperation with your Hungarian colleagues and partners: \n\nImprovement of your contacts and smooth running of your projects\nOptimizing your communication processes to achieve your goals more quickly\nEstablishing lasting good business and working relationships to achieve optimal results\nSaving time and nerves by knowing basic values and attitudes in Romania\n\n\nMethods\n\n\nInput and exchange of experiences\nBreakout sessions for communication exercises\nAnalysis of relevant case studies\nDiscussion and exchange among the participants\n\n\nNote on times\n\nAs a virtual workshop: 9 am – 12 pm and 2 pm – 5 pm\nAs in-house measure: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. incl. lunch and coffee breaks\n\nNumber of participants: 3 to max. 10\nYou can book the training as an in-house measure or as a virtual training. SUMMARY:Cultural Agility - Your competitive advantage
DESCRIPTION:Cultural agility sets the course for successful leadership in a highly dynamic and uncertain world. To prepare for international challenges\, leaders must constantly evolve to drive growth strategies and innovation\, and to successfully engage with customers and employees from around the world. In a recent survey by the Economist Intelligence Unit\, 90 per cent of executives from 68 countries said that “cross-cultural management” was the biggest challenge in working across borders. Even managers in domestic organisations will increasingly work with staff from different cultural backgrounds. 90 % of tasks and activities involve communication between people who think and behave differently. On average\, 79 % of team performance is lost due to the clash of values and personalities combined with poor leadership. The ability to turn these differences into synergies reduces stress and conflict and can work to YOUR competitive advantage. \nContents\n\n\nSelf awareness and awareness of own prejudices and preconceptions\nLearn to adapt your own behaviour to maintain effective communication\nIncrease team performance by reducing the clash of personalities associated with poor leadership\nReduce stress and conflicts\nInstead\, learn to create synergies when interacting and managing across cultures\nAvoid cultural differences beconing a burden\nRecognise your team’s capabilities\, focus on their potential\nPractical case studies and discussion of real-life examples\n\n\nBenefits\nThe training aims to prepare participants for the intercultural implications of global leadership. “You cannot not communicate” (Paul Watzlawick) simply means that EVERYTHING you do is “read” as communication and communication is always cultural. It is therefore crucial to communicate as clearly and accurately as possible and not leave it to chance. Participants can therefore learn how to become more confident and competent in communicating in cross-cultural work environments to enable global leadership and cultural adaptation. \nMethods\n\n\nInteractive (group) exercises for reflection and application\nPractice-based case studies from the trainer’s 20 years of experience\nExchange of experiences and mutual learning\nApplication of cultural models and presentation to change perspectives\n\n\nNote on times\n\nAs a virtual workshop: 9 am – 12 pm and 2 pm – 5 pm\nAs in-house measure: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. incl. lunch and coffee breaks\n\nNumber of participants: 3 to max. 10\nYou can book the training as an in-house measure or as a virtual training. SUMMARY:How do I successfully integrate trainees and employees of different nationalities into my company?
DESCRIPTION:Where might there be potential for conflict and misunderstandings in communication due to the different cultural backgrounds? \nThe topic is current: many companies are increasingly employing staff from abroad or are considering how they can support refugees in their integration into the world of work\, e.g. through internships or apprenticeships. It is not uncommon for “worlds to collide” in day-to-day interaction. \nIf integration is to be successful for everyone\, it is important for both sides to develop an understanding of the cultural background of the other\, to know other communication patterns and to defuse potential conflicts at an early stage. \nWould you like to take off your “German cultural glasses” and find out why your employees\, trainees\, colleagues or interns from abroad react very differently in certain situations than you expect? In this training\, you will not only learn how certain behaviors can be explained\, but also how to think about and reflect on your own “typical German” behavior patterns and expectations. \n  \nContent\n\nDefinition of culture\, influences and impact\nCultural models\nPerception and values\nGreetings\, etiquette and small talk\nBody language and culture\nStereotypes and prejudices\nWhat is culture shock and how can you avoid it?\nCommunication: recognizing and avoiding misunderstandings in communication\nConflict management: recognizing and handling conflicts:\nPotential for conflict; honor & code of ethics; responses to conflict\nSaving face: Conflict resolution strategies\nSummary of key learnings and feedback\n\n  \nBenefits\n\nRaising awareness of cultural differences and avoiding misunderstandings\nPromoting openness\, respect and appreciation for diversity\nImproving internal communication and collaboration\nIncreasing attractiveness as an employer for international specialists\nPreparation for the demands of an increasingly globalized working world\n\n  \nMethods\n\nPresentation and discussion/ brainstorming in plenary\nFeedback explanations and discussion in plenary\nAnalysis of case studies\nInclusion of case studies experienced by the participants\nGroup work\nRole plays\nParticipant-oriented reflections\nVideo clips\nInteractive exercises\nBreakout sessions\n\n  \nNote on the times\n\nAs a virtual workshop: 9 am – 12 pm and 2 pm – 5 pm\nAs an in-house measure: 9 am – 5 pm incl. lunch break and coffee breaks\n\n  \nNumber of participants: 3 to max. 10\n  \nYou can book the training as an in-house measure or as virtual training.
