Project management
It has become common practice for people from different cultures to work together, especially within the framework of projects. However, such projects all too often fail or achieve the desired results only very slowly or not at all. Instead of the expected synergy effects the results are often a breakdown in communication and conflict between the team members. In particular the pressure of the workload typical for the development and implementation phases of a project can aggravate of the problems, misunderstandings and hard feelings that often arise where different cultures overlap.

If people from different cultures are to work together on a joint project successfully, many factors must be taken into consideration: different approaches to time management, communication, feedback and criticism, questions of hierarchy and leadership etc.
Participants in our training courses, coaching sessions and consultations are sensitised to culture-related perceptions, thought patterns and behaviour. They are familiarised with the types of culture-related impacts on the planning and implementation of their project they must expect. With our help they work out strategies that will enable them respond appropriately. Common areas of friction and conflict are treated and possible solutions developed.
Dealing with such topics creates confidence and intercultural misunderstandings are minimised. The strengths of the team members become apparent and the project can be led into a “win-win-situation”.
